Nicola Basso has been a camera operator and director of photography since 1984.
Graduated at the Film School of Milan in 1981.
He began to work in '81 as a freelance assistant camera operator in 16mm. and 35mm. (movies, commercials, documentaries) and assistant of Nicola Pecorini. In the meanwhile he starts lighting and shooting in video for TV shows and documentaries.
1984 first opportunity to be a cameraman in 16mm. in the ALPINE SKI WORLD CUP for a winter sports TV show.

1986-1991 exclusive contract with Take One srl (Filmgo). Documentaries, commercials, corporate video and many TV shows: Cadillac (top cars) , Fish-eye (fishing), Grand Prix (motorsports), Piacere Italia (food and wine around Italy), Nonsolomoda (fashion), Record (sports).
1986 - 1990 Off Shore European and World Championship ENG and helicopter cameraman at the power boat racing.

Since 1992 freelance specialized in sports, documentaries, corporate video, commercials and music video.
He uses to travel and work for BBC, CBS, HBO, FOX, ESPN, ITV, RAI, Mediaset, NHK, Fuji TV, ZDF, ARD, DSR .
